So this has stretchy side panels on both side.You have room to move if sking hiking kayaking.very impressed by this vest.Most importantly it gives that core warmth you need when out in cold temperatures. Not to thick or thin just right if you want to wear a coat over it!!! Best of all it looks great!!!! Love it.
